We are currently seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer. You will contribute to the quality assurance and validation of an integrated autonomous and assisted driving system and collaborate with key stakeholders across the larger team.

You will take responsibility for the quality, and reliability of the system and related validation tools and process.

Your Role:

  •  As a member of the Lucid Motors Autonomous driving team, you will work closely with engineers from various AD (Autonomous Driving) teams (e.g., Camera, Perception, Embedded) to understand the interactions of the system as a whole and develop efficient processes and tools for automatic and manual QA and validation of the system. You will create and execute test plans and test suites to test AD/ADAS systems.

Expectations:

  • 7+ years with Software Quality and validation of complex systems
  • A proven track record of validating the hardware/software systems related to ADAS or AD automotive features for mass production
  • Experience in developing and executing validation test plans
  • Programming skills related to integration, testing and automation (e.g. Python, C++)
  • Hands-on skills to design and build test/validation benches
  • Experience creating automated testing environments
  • Experience with Unit Test frameworks for software validation
  • Experience using CI/CD such as Jenkins
  • Use of Jira or similar software for issue and task tracking
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, ambiguity, and time constraints
  • Consistent record of developing high quality systems with an eye for simplicity
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment

Advantageous:

  • Working experience at automotive Tier 1/2 suppliers or OEMs, with an understanding of automotive processes and workflows
  • Experience with Linux or QNX based systems validation
  • Experience with validation of software related to cameras or other sensors
  • Prior experience in ADAS or automotive
  • Experience with automotive protocols such as CAN (Controller Area Network), LIN and UDS (Unified Diagnostic Service) and related tools
  • Experience using SIL (Software in Loop) or HIL (Hardware In Loop) setups for system validation

Education:

  • BS minimum in the areas of Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields
  • Higher degrees preferred

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
·       California (Bay Area) - $127,000 - $181,500

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
