Sr. Quality Engineer

TLDR

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to help deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable products. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply technical, naturally curious, and skilled at finding how software can fail before customers do. You will play a key role in strengthening product quality through hands-on testing, automation, and AI-enabled quality engineering practices.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and execute test strategies across functional, integration, API, and
  • end-to-end testing.
  • Identify risks, edge cases, and failure points through strong exploratory and risk-based testing.
  • Build and maintain automated test coverage for regression, smoke, and critical user flows.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality validation.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Security to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support defect triage, release readiness, and quality risk assessments.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate test creation, maintenance, analysis, and overall productivity.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET-related roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, test strategy, and Agile development practices.
  • Proven ability to uncover critical defects and improve quality through both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve quality engineering efficiency and outcomes.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with AI-driven testing tools.
  • Exposure to cloud-native environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools.
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven systems, or payment platform testing.

Fully Remote: This role has been designated as fully remote, meaning it is expected to be performed from a non-Versant, typically an employee’s residence. Occasional travel is required and can range from within the country (typical, various times of the year) to global (not typical but still possible).
