Sr. Product Manager/Owner - Accounting Expertise Required - (26022001)

TLDR

Support a high-visibility financial initiative within a Fortune 50 enterprise, focusing on improving financial workflows and operational integrity in a hands-on product ownership role.

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager / Product Owner to support a high-visibility financial initiative within a Fortune 50 enterprise environment. This role requires a strong blend of hands-on product ownership and true accounting domain depth, with a focus on improving financial workflows and operational integrity.

The ideal candidate understands accounting mechanics (not just fintech systems) and can confidently translate business and finance requirements into clear, executable product artifacts for engineering teams within a structured Agile environment.

This is a W-2, onsite contract role in Atlanta (Mon–Fri) with strong potential for long-term growth based on performance and business needs.

This is not a Technical Project or Delivery Manager role. Demonstrated, hands-on Product ownership experience is required.

Requirements

  • Proven Senior-level Product Manager or Product Owner experience in enterprise environments
  • Direct, hands-on backlog ownership - structuring capabilities, epics, and decomposing into executable stories
  • Strong acceptance criteria rigor and “Definition of Ready” discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to define measurable product outcomes and value tradeoffs
  • Technical fluency - comfortable engaging engineers in detailed refinement discussions and anticipating integration or downstream system impacts
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Experience supporting financial transaction workflows (invoicing, payables, AR, financial systems integration)
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence (Jira Align experience is a plus)
