Sr. Product Manager

The Resident Services Platform Product Manager will make the moving experience easier for millions of residents, by building the foundation for one of our newest and fastest growing product areas, resident onboarding services. You will own developing the foundation to scale an early-stage service within the greater Appfolio product suite to millions of users in a new industry segment.  

Your impact 

• Contribute to building and delivering the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for the technical foundation of our resident services platform 

• Leads initiatives that drive significant growth and are highly visible across the organization

• Inspire and motivate a team of engineers to achieve ambitious outcomes, removing obstacles along the way

• Dive deep into the technical details of our partnership integrations and infrastructure stack, mastering their intricacies to make identify opportunities to drive future growth

• Make tradeoff decisions based on technical and business insights and experimentation

• Clearly communicate product plans and shape Appfolio’s broader resident strategy by leading through influence and collaborating with other product and business leaders across the organization

Qualifications 

• 5+ years of product management experience building a best-in-class product

• Nice to have: 

• World-class product sense: you have strong intuition and know when to trust your gut and when to get more data

• High agency: you consistently overcome obstacles, bounce back from setbacks, and take initiative to get things done

• Exceptional technical acumen: you guide sound technical decision-making, bridging engineering and non-technical stakeholders to drive strong cross-functional alignment.

• Stellar communication: you have a knack for storytelling, can distill complex ideas into a digestible narrative, and understand that 90% communication is listening

• Ruthless prioritization: you create of focus and clarity for the team on long-term initiatives that are aligned to customer and business outcomes

• Outstanding analytical skills: you are comfortable integrating both qualitative and quantitative data into your decision-making

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $138,400 - $173,000 [base pay]. The actual compensation for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

Please note that compensation is just one aspect of a comprehensive Total Rewards package. The compensation range listed here does not include additional benefits or any discretionary bonuses you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
