Role Overview

The Product Manager, AI Innovation, is the strategic owner of the agency’s AI product roadmap. You define the "path to value," responsible for identifying high-impact friction points within the agency and client workflows, and prioritizing the development of AI solutions that solve them.

This leader serves as a central connector between technical execution and business strategy. You will gather requirements, prioritize features, and manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch—ensuring that we are not just building novel technology, but delivering robust solutions that drive adoption and efficiency.

Please note that this is a hybrid role that requires 2 days per week onsite in Philadelphia, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmapping
  • Define the "What" and "Why": Maintain the product roadmap for proprietary AI tools, agents, and workflows. You prioritize initiatives based on business impact, ensuring we invest resources in solutions that deliver the highest ROI for the agency.
  • Discovery & User Research: Conduct interviews with internal teams (Creative, Strategy, Account) to uncover unmet needs. You translate vague complaints ("this takes too long") into concrete product opportunities ("we need an agent to automate reference checking").
  • Feasibility Analysis: Partner with the broader technical and creative team (Engineering, Data, Strategy, Creative Technology) to validate feasibility before committing to a roadmap. You facilitate the transition of experimental prototypes into stable, scalable software requirements.
Execution & Delivery
  • Agile Leadership: Lead the agile development process (Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives), serving as the primary point of contact for the engineering team to clarify specifications and unblock decisions.
  • Requirement Definition: Translate high-level business goals into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
  • Build vs. Buy: Continuously evaluate the market to determine when we should integrate off-the-shelf AI tools versus building custom solutions.
Adoption & Change Management
  • Product Evangelism: A tool is only valuable if it is used. You lead the rollout strategy for new AI products, conducting training sessions and creating documentation to drive adoption across the agency.
  • Feedback Loops: Establish channels for user feedback to iterate on live products. You monitor usage metrics and satisfaction scores to inform future updates.
  • Commercialization: Collaborate with Client Service teams to package successful internal tools into client-facing offerings where appropriate.
Governance & Compliance
  • Partner with Operations and Legal to ensure all product features adhere to privacy and security standards.

Requirements and Experience
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Product Management, preferably within a digital agency, marketing technology, or SaaS environment.
  • AI Fluency: You don't need to write code, but you must speak the language. You understand the capabilities and limitations of LLMs and can make informed trade-offs between cost, speed, and quality.
  • The Method: Deep experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and proficiency with product management tools.
  • The Industry: Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare/pharma) is highly preferred
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional ability to manage without authority, rallying cross-functional teams around a shared vision.
  • Data-Driven: Comfort with analytics; ability to define success metrics and pivot product strategy based on performance data.
