As a team manager with individual contributor responsibilities, you will be part of a centralized data analytics community that encourages collaborations, learning opportunities, and thought partnership from other analysts and data scientists. You will partner with cross-functional teams in Product Management, Business Development, E-commerce, and Category Business Managers and other cross-functional stakeholders to identify key metrics and attributes that contribute to profitability and growth and answer complex business questions. You will play a key role in helping the stakeholders become a world-class data and insights-driven team.  

What You'll Do Here: 

  • Team Leadership and Development: Must have experience leading a team of direct reports.  Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Advocate for team members' professional growth and ensure the team meets its deliverables.  Leverage organizational resources to improve team efficiency.
  • Strategic Analytics: Define and implement analytics strategies to support business objectives. Develop measurement frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve business performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with executive leaders across multiple business lines to align key metrics with strategic goals, identify and size growth opportunities, and answer complex business questions. Serve as a subject matter expert in analytics.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Oversee the retrieval, manipulation, and analysis of data across team. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable insights and the ability to self-serve.  Develop requirements for data that meets future business needs and partner with technology teams to deliver data projects.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in data analytics. Drive data literacy and foster a positive learning environment around analytics, data science, and data visualization.

The Skills You'll Bring: 

  • Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled in SQL (4+ years using daily), Python or R a plus, data storytelling, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Excel. Strong understanding of data management best practices.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proven ability to analyze large data sets, develop analytics frameworks, and deliver actionable insights utilizing a variety of analytical and statistical approaches. Data storyteller who is adept at summarizing complex data analysis into easy-to-understand visuals and presentations up to an executive level
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to executive leaders. Proven success driving organizational change through data-informed insights.  Strong project management skills and the ability to drive multiple large programs simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, including 5+ years managing analytics teams.
  • Experience in e-commerce analytics is a plus.

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.

California : [$125,000-177,500]

Connecticut and New York: [$125,000-162,500]

Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$125,000-150,500]

Nevada: [$117,500-162,500]

Maryland and New Jersey: [$135,000-162,500]

Hawaii : [$117,500-141,500]

This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
