POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager of Sustainability will lead the day-to-day implementation of the company’s sustainability initiatives, driving measurable environmental impact across our operations. This includes projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, optimize energy and water use, support green building certifications, and minimize waste.

This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, prioritize initiatives, and deliver results. The Sr. Manager will oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability data to inform decision-making, track progress, and meet internal and external reporting requirements.

This position will collaborate cross-functionally with design, construction, operations, and corporate teams to integrate sustainability into business processes and ensure successful implementation of ongoing initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate across teams to implement strategies and technologies that reduce GHG emissions, energy and water use, and waste across facilities.
  • Develop and manage systems for sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Lead internal and external reporting, including annual sustainability reports, TCFD disclosures, GRESB, and customer/investor reporting.
  • Work closely with operations, development, and construction teams to align sustainability initiatives with project goals and timelines.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and propose actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Support green building certification processes (e.g., LEED, Green Globes, Energy Star), ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain sustainability KPIs, performance dashboards, and other measurement tools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Sustainability, related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and implementing sustainability programs.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability concepts, environmental health regulations, and strategies including GHG emissions, waste diversion, energy and water conservation, renewable energy procurement, and related best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple initiatives, and deliver results with minimal supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • LEED AP or ENV SP accreditation.
  • Data Center, high-tech, or rapid growth industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced skills in sustainability data management, reporting platforms, and analytics tools.
