Sr. Manager, Industrial Maintenance (Heavy Manufacturing) Description
Our client in the industrial manufacturing industry is seeking a Senior Manager of Industrial Maintenance to join their team in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will lead maintenance strategy and execution for a large, complex manufacturing site, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing maintenance experience, strong people leadership, and hands-on exposure to critical equipment such as air compressors, boilers, and HVAC systems. To be successful, you must excel in maintenance planning, reliability improvement, and cost control while partnering closely with operations and site leadership. Sr. Manager, Industrial Maintenance (Heavy Manufacturing) Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership for maintenance operations within a complex manufacturing facility
• Support facility expansion, equipment installation, and long-term asset planning initiatives
• Direct mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance across a large manufacturing site
• Lead maintenance teams that include union-represented skilled trades
• Establish and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies
• Drive reliability improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and recurring equipment failures
• Plan and oversee maintenance support for major outages, shutdowns, and equipment upgrades
• Partner with Operations to align maintenance planning with production and business needs
• Develop and manage maintenance operating and capital budgets
• Implement cost control initiatives while maintaining equipment reliability and safety
• Oversee work order management and asset history tracking
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Sr. Manager, Industrial Maintenance (Heavy Manufacturing) Qualifications
• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing is required
• Prior management experience leading maintenance teams is required
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facilities systems is required
• Proven experience driving maintenance-related planning, strategy, and execution is required
• Computer savvy (including Excel) and comfortable learning new software is required
• Ability to work 100% on-site is required
