Position Summary

As Senior Manager Commercial Operations you will support the identification, implementation and measurement of Business opportunities to enable Acadia Pharmaceuticals Germany to launch a new product in a Rare Disease indication: Rett syndrome.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support strategic and own operational development of launch and business strategies and business planning.
  • Define goals, strategies, tactics, market analysis to identify and maximize the potential of a new rare disease product for the treatment of Rett syndrome
  • Overseeing marketing and launch activities for Rare Disease products – preparing Brand / Marketing / PR / Digital plans, aligning investments, forecasts, demand planning with business strategy and managing successful launches.
  • Support tracking of launch performance and support commercial and field force excellence.
  • Coordinating cross-functional alignment between medical, marketing, leading the PR & digital plan, contributes to Market Access / Reimbursement proposals and assesses market research and competitive benchmarks as well as the development of commercial materials for the KAMs.
  • Support directing customer-facing efforts, CRM and territory management systems, ROI evaluations, budget allocation, sales targets and incentive systems.
  • Work in close relationship with the EU Commercial team as well as with the GM of Germany. Ensure alignment between the region and the country for commercial projects.
  • Acting in line with ethical standards and company procedures, actively participates/leads local Sales & Marketing meetings and cross-functional project groups. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills

Master’s degree in science, healthcare, business or relevant fields with a proven track record in commercial business within pharma and targeting least 5-7 years of commercial experience in a specialty indication e.g. neuroscience. Expertise in a Rare Disease care environment is a clear differentiator.

  • Resilience and ability to deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market condition.
  • High ambiguity tolerance and ability to create business results in a “start-up” environment.
  • Ability to travel, both within Europe and internationally.
