Position Overview

As the Sr Manager of Regulatory Capital and Financial Risks, you will lead the strategy and execution of capital management and financial risk oversight at RecargaPay, ensuring compliance with Basel regulations and supporting sustainable business growth. You will provide strategic insights to leadership, oversee accurate financial risk reporting, and partner cross-functionally to assess risks across financial products and strategic initiatives while developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the regulatory capital and financial risk team, ensuring effectiveness and collaboration among team members;
  • Serve as the focal point in strategic discussions on capital management and planning, providing insights and analysis on regulatory capital requirements and their implications for the organization;
  • Lead initiatives related to financial risk reporting, covering both current and upcoming regulatory requirements;
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial risk reports, providing relevant and timely information to support strategic decision-making;
  • Play a strategic role in RecargaPay’s next steps, offering leadership and guidance on regulatory capital and financial risk matters;
  • Collaborate with other areas of the organization to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks associated with strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of Basel regulations and experience in large financial institutions classified as S4;
  • Experience in calculating capital requirements and managing credit risk, market risk, and operational risk in accordance with Basel guidelines;
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with the Matera system, preferably within financial institutions;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail financial products, such as loans, financing, credit cards, among others;
  • Ability to assess risks associated with these products and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring regulatory compliance and profitability;
  • Proven experience in leadership and team management, preferably in environments related to financial risk;
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and guide team members, ensuring effective execution of risk management responsibilities;
  • Ability to create a collaborative work environment and promote the professional growth of team members;
  • Fluent English.

You have broad, real-world experience establishing and scaling Developer Experience practices in complex, regulated environments, with a strong preference for fintech contexts; you turn developer needs into clear golden paths, lightweight standards, and supportive tooling that improve flow and quality and productivity without adding friction, and guide organizations through the cultural and operational shifts required for sustained adoption.
