Sr. Inventory Coordinator

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing warehouse operations and Food/Beverage and/or manufacturing; Inventory Control and/or Shipping and Receiving role
  • Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish
  • Experience with ERP systems (D365) (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
  • Forklift I – Operator (preferred)

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

Summary: The primary responsibility of the Sr. Inventory Coordinator is to conduct daily cycle counts and to coordinate subordinates on daily inventory activities and tasks. In addition, the Sr. Inventory Coordinator is an avid user in Dynamics 365 / ERP system as well as familiar with Microsoft suite to run and analyze reports (using back-office computers/laptops and handheld devices). Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain the expected work pace and meet minimum productivity guidelines set by GT’S Living Foods. While reporting directly to the Inventory Control Supervisor, this position works under minimal supervision and must work closely with other departments.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure the SOP’s associated with maintaining an accurate inventory are being adhered to.
  • Trains and develops new employees or subordinates on processes.
  • Completes EOD reports and ensures that communications are relayed to the appropriate department.
  • Communicate effectively and address concerns and issues both verbally and though email.
  • Participates on meetings via TEAMS or in person to be informed on latest issues or concerns.
  • Identify and research new procedures and protocols for process improvement; root cause analysis on discrepancies and recommends any necessary changes.
  • Daily cycle counts of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials.
  • Use Excel to download D365 reports, process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, and historical transactions.
  • Ensure goods are in stored in proper locations both physically and systemic. Perform any necessary systemic movements to maintain location accuracy.
  • Conducts searches to locate missing inventory, mis-labeled or any non-conformance goods.
  • Report unit discrepancies and any damaged product to appropriate department manager.
  • Publish weekly KPI metrics as directed by the Inventory Manager. Ensure that metrics are accomplished.
  • Ensure that all company policies, safety procedures and guidelines are strictly observed by team members.
  • Conducts safety meetings with the team and maintains accurate records of safety inspection sheets.
  • Ensure proper and full-time use of PPE.
  • Conform to all quality and safety procedures.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
  • Comfortable in working in cold (30°) and warm (80°) weather.
  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round under seasonal weather including rain and hot temperatures.
  • Occasional climbing in and out of trailers while observing safety protocols.
  • Use of an RF Scanner as well as computer/laptop is needed to perform daily tasks.
  • Use of own vehicle to occasionally travel to and from our different facilities. Mileage reimbursed.
  • Flexible to work on weekends and overtime.
  • Flexible to work changing schedules depending on required work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Interpersonal skills – provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Organizational skills – ability to prioritize the department workload of assignments.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced/dynamic environment.
  • Ability to collaborate, plan and coordinate with other departments and team members.
  • Ability to problem-solve and escalate issues to the appropriate Departments/Managers
  • Excellent attention to detail, including the ability to record and produce accurate data.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities for process improvement and takes initiative in streamlining and communicating any opportunities.
  • Demonstrates teamwork as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of safety, GMP, and PPE requirements.
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

 

Physical Duties and Requirements:

  • Employees are required to stand for the majority of their shift
  • Frequent work near moving mechanical parts (forklifts)
  • Frequent exposure to electrical equipment (forklift batteries and charging stations)
  • Experience operating pallet jack, forklift or other equipment in a fast-paced environment
  • Occasional bending, crouching, reaching, lifting, and carrying of pallets (30 lbs.) to separate and place in designated piles according to pallet type
  • Occasional overhead reaching, pulling, and lifting (30-40 lbs.) to open/close trailer doors
  • Occasional pulling of pallet jack to organize empty pallets
  • Employees are occasionally required to sit to operate sit-down forklift and are rarely required to operate stand-up forklift in a cold storage environment (20-30°F)
  • Employees are occasionally required to work in a warm and humid warehouse environment (80-90°F)

Job Details:

  • Work Hours: Onsite, 2nd Shift: 12:00pm – 8:30pm
  • Pay Range: $20/hr - $22.50/hr
