As we increase our operational complexity, the need for consistent, transparent, and high-integrity internal messaging is critical. You matter because you ensure that no information is lost in translation. By aligning our internal story with our external brand, you protect our culture, drive employee confidence, and ensure that every team member understands how their work contributes to our long-term mission.  About the Role We are looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to support the development of HighLevel’s strategic narrative. This is a senior-level individual contributor role designed for a high-velocity storyteller who can transform complex business strategies into engaging, human-centric internal narratives. HighLevel is entering a transformative year of growth, and we are looking to ensure that our global team remains aligned, informed, and inspired, regardless of where they sit. You are a master of "Executive Voice," capable of ghostwriting for senior leadership while maintaining a pulse on the cultural nuances of a fast-growing tech company. What You'll Do Strategic Narrative & Communication Infrastructure
  • Architect the Multi-Channel Playbook: Design and own a comprehensive internal communications roadmap that defines how we use Slack, email, All-Hands, AI, internal wikis and cutting-edge communications tools to drive maximum alignment and engagement.

  • Standardize Operational Rigor: Establish high-fidelity documentation standards, communication playbooks, and cascading templates that ensure "one version of the truth" across all departments.

  • Bridge Internal & External Strategy: Partner consistently with the incoming Senior Director of External Communications to pressure-test messaging, ensuring our internal employee narrative is a seamless precursor to our external brand positioning.

  • High-Stakes Ghostwriting: Act as ghostwriter for senior leadership, drafting keynotes, board-level updates, and critical company-wide memos that capture their unique voices.

  • Change Leadership & Organizational Adoption
  • Lead Complex Change Narratives: Develop and execute communication plans for high-stakes organizational shifts, product milestones and policy changes, ensuring clarity, empathy, and consistency.

  • Implement Structured Methodologies: Apply formal change management frameworks to ensure high-velocity organizational shifts result in sustained behavior change and measurable adoption.

  • Anticipate Organizational Friction: Proactively identify potential resistance points in new program rollouts and design mitigation strategies to protect employee productivity and morale.

  • Manage Messaging Sequencing: Act as the internal “air traffic control” for announcements, ensuring the team isn’t overwhelmed by competing priorities and that the most critical information lands first.

  • Employee Engagement & Culture Advocacy
  • Drive Employee Sentiment: Lead company-wide initiatives (such as Great Place to Work campaigns or annual engagement surveys) to achieve high participation and actionable feedback loops.

  • Establish a Feedback Architecture: Build qualitative and quantitative feedback loops beyond simple open rates to measure the true impact of internal comms and pivot priorities in real-time.

  • Manager Enablement: Create "Leader Toolkits," talking points, and FAQs that empower managers to act as the primary communication channel for their teams during periods of rapid growth.

  • Measure Impact & Reach: Establish a data-informed approach to internal comms, tracking engagement metrics and sentiment to pivot strategies in real-time.

  • Governance & Risk Management
  • Information Integrity: Ensure all internal messaging adheres to high-compliance standards and professional integrity, particularly as the organization moves toward increased operational maturity.

  • Crisis Response: Maintain a "Crisis Comms" playbook, providing calm, clear, and rapid-response messaging during ambiguous or high-pressure situations.

  • What You'll Bring
  • 10+ total years of progressive experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or executive ghostwriting in a late stage / high-growth tech or public company environment.

  • Demonstrated success leading the strategy and execution of external-facing campaigns (Forbes, WSJ, etc.), IPO-readiness efforts or high-level internal narratives.

  • Exceptional Writing & Editing: A proven ability to take dense, technical, or strategic information and make it relatable and inspiring for a broad audience.

  • Executive Presence: Significant experience working directly with C-suite executives to shape their internal platforms and presence.

  • Maturity & Discretion: Experience operating in environments with increased operational rigor and high-stakes milestones, maintaining absolute professional integrity.

  • Agility: The ability to manage competing deadlines and projects as a sole lead in a fast-paced environment.

  • The salary range for this position is $146000- $178000 annually.
