Meztal is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role partners with key business leaders to align Meztal’s financial strategies with its organizational objectives by performing advanced financial forecasting, budgeting, and in-depth analysis to support strategic decision-making.

The Senior Financial Analyst will contribute to the development of financial models and scenario planning to evaluate potential investments and strategic initiatives, focusing on operational efficiency and long-term growth. Additionally, this role promotes a culture of collaboration, learning, and professional development by mentoring junior team members.

This position requires a high level of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and financial expertise, along with professional-level English proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with strategic goals.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, extract insights, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and evaluate investments.
  • Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for performance tracking and cost control.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and management insights.
  • Lead annual budgeting, multi-year forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Monitor labor and expense data, analyze variances, and suggest cost-control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls and company policies.
  • Optimize financial processes, reporting, and system capabilities for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the finance team in implementing new systems, reports, and financial processes.
  • Perform additional finance-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree/MBA is a plus).
  • 4+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, strategic planning, and investment evaluation.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business performance reviews.
  • Proficiency in financial analytics and ERP tools (e.g., Power BI, Workday, PeopleSoft, Hyperion/SmartView).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Macros/VBA experience preferred).
  • Ability to present financial insights to senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional-level English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Must be based in Guadalajara, Mexico.
