We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Event Manager to lead high-impact events ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 attendees and oversee complex, multi-stream programs of even larger scale. In this role, you will serve as the primary client liaison, team leader, and budget owner, driving strategy, execution, and creative problem-solving across all event phases. You will manage diverse internal teams and external vendors, ensuring seamless communication, exceptional delivery, and measurable results. Accountabilities:
Leading the planning and execution of large-scale events and complex workstreams, serving as the main point of contact for clients, internal teams, and vendors.
Acting as the budget owner, managing financials to ensure transparency, prevent overruns, and maximize value for clients.
Facilitating meetings, presenting plans, and providing strategic consultation to clients and stakeholders.
Ensuring clear communication across all teams, maintaining alignment on objectives, deadlines, and deliverables.
Using creative problem-solving to address challenges throughout the event lifecycle.
Mentoring and training junior team members to build skills, efficiency, and high-quality execution.
Monitoring performance, evaluating risk, and implementing solutions to meet or exceed client and organizational goals.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate combines event expertise with leadership, financial acumen, and excellent communication skills. Essential qualifications and skills include:
5+ years of event management experience, preferably within the event industry.
2–3 years’ experience leading and mentoring teams.
Experience managing mid- to large-scale events (3,000–15,000+ attendees), with a proven track record of successful execution.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to manage budgets effectively and negotiate with vendors for optimal results.
Proficiency in technology tools, data analysis, and virtual event platforms.
Adaptable, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with occasional travel (~30%).
