As a Senior Director on the Retirement Services team, you’ll report to the Vice President of Retirement Services. You will serve in a player‑coach role, leading the Retirement Plan Advisor team. In your role you will manage a book of business and territory and, collectively with your team, be responsible for managing existing plan relationships, generating new business, increase spheres of influence and manage day-to-day lead flow and asset generating activities in the small retirement plan market.
We are looking for someone who is highly experienced in the small plan retirement market, is a strong leader and has excellent organizational, presentation, communication and follow-through skills. If you are an individual with a strong background working with qualified plans such as 401k/Profit Sharing, New Comparability, Cross-tested and Cash Balance Pension Plans who can work in a team environment and understands the small business retirement plans marketplace, this may be the opportunity for you!
- Must be knowledgeable in investment management and work with qualified plans such as 401k, Cash Balance Pension Plans, Profit-sharing plans, etc.
- Must be knowledgeable in applicable laws and standard methodologies in retirement plans
- Excellent organizational, presentation, communication and follow-through skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as vital to work effectively with staff at all levels
- Ability to be an active team participant
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the retirement plans industry and prior leadership in similar role required
- Good understanding of Retirement Plans, Recordkeepers, payroll providers and Third-Party Administrators
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- Series 65 required
- CRPC/CRPS preferred
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $156,900 - 209,100. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
