As the Sr. Director, Head of Ads Product Marketing, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented product marketers responsible for growing adoption and revenue of Pinterest’s advertising and shopping products. You will partner closely with executive leadership across sales, product, engineering, marketing, and PR teams to influence product strategy and drive global go-to-market plans for our most critical advertiser-facing launches. You will act as a thought partner to guide our company-wide monetization strategy by combining your deep knowledge of the ad tech and media landscape with an understanding of advertiser, agency, and merchant needs. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to bring to market new advertising features that directly contribute to Pinterest revenue. 

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader, communicator, and cross-functional collaborator; highly analytical and well-versed in the ad tech industry; results-driven, and has previously led monetization and advertising technology product management or product marketing organizations. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a global team of talented product marketing managers responsible for driving product positioning, go-to-market of critical launches, and product adoption and revenue. 
  • Influence product strategy, tapping into your extensive industry knowledge to help product and engineering leaders identify and prioritize the most impactful work on roadmaps. 
  • Deeply understand target advertiser segments and priority insights to both influence product and guide GTM tactics. 
  • Develop product positioning strategies that crisply articulate the value proposition of Pinterest and differentiate our advertising solutions in market.
  • Lead product launches with a multitude of cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Comms, Marketing, User Education and more.

What we’re looking for: 

  • 15+ years experience leading product marketing or product management teams. 
  • An industry expert with deep technical knowledge of the advertising tech landscape and industry trends. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technology company. You can adjust on the fly and keep pace with the speed of a growing team.
  • A collaborative working style. You’re a natural connector and communicator who is able to work with different teams from engineering to marketing, from legal to design.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills. You can turn insights into a clear and convincing product narrative that inspires.
  • Keen product instinct. You have strong opinions about what we should build and why, balancing data and anecdotes to influence product decisions.
  • An experienced people leader with a track record of building best-in-class teams, who can manage concurrent work streams, and hold your team and others accountable for meeting goals. 
  • Experience working on advertising tech products with shopping/ecommerce or content ecosystems is a plus.
  • A passion for Pinterest and building advertising solutions that inspire!
