About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help us build out and mature our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You'll play a key role in standing up our GCP environment, establishing best practices, and ensuring our platform is ready to meet the compliance requirements of our government and enterprise customers. While you'll primarily focus on internal platform work, you'll collaborate closely with our Enterprise BYOC team and Security & Compliance team to ensure consistency across environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain production infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on GKE, VPC networking, and cloud-native services
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring repeatable and auditable deployments
Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters with hardened configurations, network policies, and secrets management
Build CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using tools like Cloud Build, Argo CD, or Flux
Integrate platform services including Cloud KMS (CMEK), Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and backup/recovery solutions
Collaborate with the Security & Compliance team to implement controls aligned with FedRAMP and CMMC requirements
Establish monitoring, alerting, and SLOs to ensure platform reliability and performance
Contribute to capacity planning, cost optimization, and operational runbooks
Support cross-functional work with Azure environments as needed.
Required Experience:
4-6 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering
2+ years of hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, VPC networking, IAM, and Cloud Operations
Strong experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management, networking, and security hardening
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Solid understanding of Linux systems, containers, and container orchestration
Clear communication skills and ability to document designs and operational procedures
Desired Experience:
Experience with GCP Assured Workloads, Access Transparency (AXT), or other compliance-focused cloud configurations
Familiarity with government security frameworks such as FedRAMP or NIST 800-53
Experience with GitOps tooling (Argo CD, Flux)
Container security tools (Trivy, Prisma, Aqua) and supply chain security practices (SBOM, SLSA)
Workload Identity Federation and service account management
Experience with AI/ML platform services such as Vertex AI
Exposure to Microsoft Azure (bonus, not required)
