- We are seeking a highly skilled and mo1vated Data Engineering SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to
- join our data engineering team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of our data pipelines, data
- warehousing, and analy1cs solu1ons driven through automated tes1ng. The ideal candidate will have exper1se in
- data engineering, ETL & ELT (Extract, Transform, Load) orchestra1on tools, SQL, Tableau.
- Key Responsibili%es:
- • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes (to validate data
- quality, transforma1on logic, and performance), machine learning models & APIs. Iden1fy and report
- defects, and work closely with data engineers to resolve issues.
- • Collaborate with data engineers to validate and op1mize data warehousing solu1ons. Ensure data
- consistency, accuracy, and efficient storage.
- • U1lize ETL orchestra1on tools like FiveTran or similar plaQorms to automate and schedule data workflows.
- Create tests to validate the func1onality and reliability of these workflows.
- • Develop and maintain test suites for Tableau dashboards and reports. Verify data accuracy and dashboard
- func1onality to ensure data visualiza1ons provide meaningful insights.
- • Write and execute SQL queries to validate data transforma1ons, data loading, and data retrieval
- processes. Ensure data consistency and correctness at each stage of the pipeline.
- • Familiarity with real-1me data streaming technologies, par1cularly Amazon Kinesis. Test data streaming
- processes for correctness, data integrity, and performance.
- • Implement and maintain regression test suites to ensure that changes or updates to data pipelines do not
- introduce new issues or regressions.
- • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for data engineering processes to improve
- tes1ng efficiency and coverage.
- • Collaborate closely with data engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data
- requirements and ensure data quality and reliability.
- • Document test cases, test plans, and test results. Create and maintain documenta1on on data pipelines,
- ETL processes, and data structures.
- • Stay up to date with industry best prac1ces, emerging technologies, and trends related to data
- engineering and tes1ng. Iden1fy opportuni1es for process improvement and automa1on.
- • Knowledge of how the real-1me data streaming technologies like Kinesis work
