Pinterest helps millions of people find inspiration every day. We’re looking for a thoughtful lawyer to join our small, agile product legal team as we support a growing and innovative business. In this role, you’ll work closely with our global ads product, engineering and business development teams—shaping high-impact initiatives and advising senior leaders. What you’ll do:
- Advise product and engineering teams on digital advertising, data use and privacy matters from product ideation through launch and beyond, and become embedded with those teams to provide pragmatic and strategic advice as the product evolves
- Draft, review and negotiate complex strategic product partnerships and collaborations that are critical to Pinterest’s growth
- Translate the complexities of legal frameworks into simple and actionable guidance, empowering teams to innovate confidently
- Anticipate and navigate emerging legal risks, helping the business move fast while protecting user trust and company values
- Stay at the forefront of legal and industry trends, keeping Pinterest ahead of the curve and shaping conversations across the company
- Build deep, collaborative relationships as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing decisions and transforming how Pinterest connects ideas with audiences around the world
What we’re looking for:
- JD with 8+ years of experience working in a demanding and innovative legal environment on legal issues including digital advertising, privacy, technology or related commercial work
- Strong background navigating complex laws, regulations and industry standards, including GDPR, state privacy laws like CCPA, and FTC rules
- Experience leading the negotiation of major technology and commercial deals, especially those tied to advertising, data or other tech partnerships
- Proven ability to build lasting, collaborative relationships across product, engineering and business teams
- Quick to pick up new laws and technologies, bringing curiosity and adaptability to every challenge
- Skilled at translating complicated legal issues into plain-language guidance that empowers teams to move forward
- Insightful, business-minded partner who brings creativity and a solutions focus to every problem
- Comfortable steering multiple projects and shifting priorities without missing a beat
- Dedicated to continuous learning, growth and finding new ways to deliver value
- Bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
