As a Senior Communications Manager on the Workplace Communications team, you’ll play a pivotal role team in the implementation and measurement of engagement strategies for our advisor partner relationships designed to increase utilization of advisory services, improve participant financial well-being, and support EFE’s overall business goals.
 
In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. For this client-facing Senior Communications Manager role, we are seeking an experienced candidate who can manage more complex Advisor Partner and/or plan sponsor relationships with varied engagement challenges, support development of cross-sponsor programs and work effectively with a broad range of partners. Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead communications resource for a diverse portfolio of strategic clients, responsible for creating, implementing and measuring multi-channel communications programs.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Marketing partners and others on service team to identify areas of opportunity and drive strategic, revenue-producing initiatives
  • Develop trusted and responsive relationships with our provider partners and as needed, direct sponsors, partnering to influence communications outcomes, presenting new programs to drive adoption, solve problems, address objections and stimulate growth
  • Represent EFE’s communications and marketing strategic priorities via regular external client calls and/or presentations
  • Develop expertise in core programs and processes, with a focus on driving optimization and improving efficiency
  • Follow established processes for communication program setup, reporting, and documentation requirements.
  • Act as an internal mentor, trainer and consultant resource with ideation and problem solving
 
Requirements:
 
  • 8+ years financial services or communications experience; retirement industry experience preferred; people management experience welcomed
  • Lead discovery discussions with advisor partners and/or sponsors with a consultative approach, overcome objections and influence communication outcomes
  • Proven ability to drive successful communication programs that meet or exceed revenue and/or engagement goals
  • Strong relationship-building, project management, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through
  • Work effectively in a highly collaborative, interdependent team environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Expert at working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
 
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $83,500 - $111,400. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
