Sr. AI Product Developer (5931)

MetroStar is seeking a Sr. AI Product Developer to craft powerful, intuitive user experiences that bring advanced AI systems to life within our Innovation Lab. In this R&D-focused role, you’ll work on the frontlines of product innovation—building drag-and-drop, node-based tools that allow developers and mission teams to configure and control AI agents in real time. Your work will turn complex backend intelligence into elegant interfaces, helping users orchestrate intelligent workflows through highly interactive, visual design patterns. What you’ll do:

• Design and develop interactive visual interfaces using technologies like React, ReactFlow, and Tailwind CSS to support agent-based AI workflows.
• Create drag-and-drop components that allow users to build, chain, and control AI agent behaviors dynamically.
• Integrate with real-time APIs to reflect execution states, data flows, and user-defined configurations.
• Build UI elements that offer observability and feedback, including logs, alerts, and performance indicators.
• Work in tight collaboration with AI engineers, UX designers, and product managers to iteratively refine functionality and user flow.
• Contribute to a next-generation platform that empowers technical users with seamless, scalable interfaces for working with intelligent systems.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 5+ years of experience building modern web applications with tools like React and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with ReactFlow or other visual workflow/diagramming libraries.
• Proficiency with state management libraries such as Zustand or Redux.
• Strong understanding of frontend-backend integration, particularly in data-driven or real-time environments.
• A sharp eye for technical UX—building clean, efficient, and usable interfaces for sophisticated user types.
• A product development mindset: you care about how things look, how they work, and how they fit into the bigger picture.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working in fast-moving, agile environments.
• Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Bonus points if you have:

• Familiarity with AI platforms, prompt orchestration, or workflow management concepts.
• Experience building UIs for developer tools, DevOps environments, or ML engineering platforms.

SALARY RANGE: $143,000 - $189,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
• Performance-based bonuses
