One of our companies is currently looking for a Sr. AI Engineer in Colombia.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sr. AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning systems that drive intelligent features across a fast-growing financial platform. This role will be instrumental in building personalized recommendation engines, fraud detection models, and scalable MLOps pipelines. You will work with a cross-functional team of data scientists and engineers to deliver innovative, AI-powered solutions that improve customer experience and optimize platform performance. Ideal candidates are both technically adept and collaborative, capable of mentoring peers while staying on the cutting edge of machine learning technologies.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the design and deployment of scalable ML models using AWS services, particularly SageMaker
• Partner with product teams to develop MVPs and iterate on AI-driven features
• Build robust monitoring and alerting frameworks for deployed models
• Provide technical guidance and support for AI adoption across departments
• Ensure production-grade model performance through efficient MLOps practices
• Troubleshoot operational issues and participate in on-call rotations
• Mentor team members and conduct peer code reviews to uphold high engineering standards
• Continuously evaluate new ML technologies to keep solutions modern and effective

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience deploying scalable ML models in production environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field
• Strong Python programming skills; Golang knowledge is a plus
• Proven experience with AWS cloud services, especially ML infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data warehouses, and relational databases
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch
• Knowledge of real-time data frameworks such as Apache Kafka or Spark
• Technical leadership experience, including mentoring and cross-functional collaboration
