About the Role:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring appropriate GAAP treatment of all entries posted to the general ledger. This individual will be an integral member of our growing and multifaceted Accounting team. This role will be specific to day to day GL accounting and period end close process. Additionally, you will excel in multi-tasking and participating in and coordinating new projects as they arise. This role is a significant role to the day-to-day operations of the company, interacting daily with Executive, Operations, Finance and Account Leaders.
What You’ll Do:
Ensure GAAP treatment of all entries to the general ledger.
Prepare account reconciliations and investigate variances as needed.
Maintain vital procedures and internal controls related to Revenue and GL accounting.
Assist with the timely month and year end close of financial statements.
Assist with researching, generating, and communicating accounting policies.
Assist Finance and Accounting teams with ad-hoc projects.
What you bring:
Experience of 3-5 years of Accounting (at least 2 of which within the Software Startup environment)
Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to interpret day to day transactions
Experience with common integrated SaaS applications (e.g. Workday, Stripe, Salesforce, etc.)
Ability and willingness to maintain efficiency in a multifaceted, extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Strong problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Strong ability to work across functions to acquire answers, get results, and build solutions.
