This is a remote role with potential travel to our main office NY for meetings and collaboration.
Position Overview:
The Sr Staff Accountant will act as both an individual contributor and reviewer for specific aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. Working closely with the Staff Accountant, the Senior Staff Accountant will collaborate to streamline closing procedures and enhance overall efficiency within the finance team.
The Sr Staff Accountant will possess a thorough understanding of accounting principles, particularly within a multi-entity environment, and will be instrumental in leading various components of ERP closes within Sage Intacct. This role demands proficiency in overseeing the preparation of comprehensive workpapers, managing daily and weekly soft closes, and ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the month-end close process.
The Sr Staff Accountant should demonstrate a strong grasp of GAAP accounting principles, technical acumen in navigating multiple accounting platforms, and the ability to approach challenges with resourcefulness and critical thinking.

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $82,000 and $95,000 per year at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
