Senior Accountant 

Responsibilities: 

  • Month-end and Year-end Close: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, accruals, and preparing journal entries in Netsuite.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual audits, providing documentation and support as needed.
  • Payroll: Assist in reviewing the payroll reports provided by outsourced payroll team.
    • Inventory Management: Understand and document the company's current end-to-end inventory processes. Monitor inventory balances continuously and report on inventory adjustments and cost of goods sold (COGS) in Netsuite.
    • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency, implementing improvements as appropriate.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in other departments, such as operations, sales, and R&D, to support their financial needs and provide insights to drive business decisions.
    • Work closely with the Accounting Manager in general corporate accounting matters and ad hoc projects or requests.
    • Perform other duties as assigned[1]

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the life sciences or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Minimum of 3 years Netsuite accounting software experience and able to navigate around certain modules of Netsuite (i.e. Financial Reporting, Consolidation and Inventory modules).
  • Proficiency in Coupa and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards

Additional Information:   
Full-time base salary range of $110,000 – $135,000 plus an annual bonus potential and equity opportunities.
