Accountabilities:
Achieving territory sales goals, market penetration, share, and profit targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
Developing and executing business plans to guide strategy, disease awareness, patient compliance, and progress tracking.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including geneticists, nurses, nurse practitioners, genetic counselors, and ancillary staff.
Communicating effectively with customers and internal stakeholders via in-person and virtual platforms.
Providing leadership by example to fellow Account Managers and contributing insights on clinical practices to internal teams.
Managing territory finances and participating in business planning, professional society meetings, and disease awareness initiatives.
Becoming a subject matter expert in product data and effectively communicating its significance to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has a strong background in biotech, healthcare, or specialty sales, combined with leadership and organizational skills. Essential qualifications include:
7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
5+ years of biotech or specialty sales experience, particularly with high-cost or orphan-disease products.
Proven ability to achieve aggressive sales targets while managing a multi-state territory.
Experience engaging with hospitals, academic institutions, and professional healthcare networks.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence without authority.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced healthcare-related degrees or relevant clinical experience (e.g., nurse, pharmacist, dietitian) preferred.
Comfortable with remote selling and virtual engagement platforms; travel 40%-60% depending on territory needs.
