SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary:
As a SQL Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in our team by ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our databases. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems, as well as troubleshooting any issues that arise. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing database performance, implementing data security protocols, and ensuring data integrity.

  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL database systems
  • Monitor and optimize database performance
  • Ensure data integrity and implement backup and recovery strategies
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support
  • Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database structures
  • Implement security measures to safeguard databases and sensitive data
  • Conduct regular database maintenance tasks such as updates and patches

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven 3-4 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator or similar role
  • Deep understanding of database architecture and relational database management systems (RDBMS)
  • Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of database security best practices
  • Familiarity with database backup and recovery processes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
