Senior Database Administrator - Octopus by RTG

Octopus by RTG is on a mission to connect top-notch organizations around the globe with top-tier talent. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator to join one of the largest retail companies in Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The successful candidate will oversee the management of Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security of databases within our Microsoft stack. They will collaborate closely with IT teams to develop architectural strategies at the database level and implement end-to-end solutions for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Requirements

Responsibilities:​

• Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company databases.​

• Optimize database systems for performance efficiency.​

• Perform database maintenance and troubleshooting activities.​

• Design and manage database strategies, system monitoring, and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements.​

• Implement and oversee database policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure compliance with data management laws and regulations.​

• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure data completeness, security, and confidentiality.​

• Provide mentorship and guidance to other technical staff about database best practices.
