The role is responsible for ensuring seamless delivery and coordination across live and non-live broadcast operations for marquee cricket events such as the T20 World Cup, Ind bilateral series and IPL.
About the Team
The Sports Content team at JioStar plays a pivotal role in shaping the overall broadcast experience for viewers. The team is responsible for curating, developing, and executing sports content that not only enhances live match coverage but also builds compelling narratives around the game.
Key Responsibilities
VOD Delivery: Overview of delivery of VODs for JioHotstar for all T20WC and IPL matches
Non-Live Programming: Oversee delivery of non-live shows
Post-Production: Facilitate the delivery of packages (VT) and offline graphics to be used during live broadcasts.
Translation & Graphics: Translate English scripts and data points into Kannada language for on-screen match graphics and show graphics.
Subtitling: Create and sync accurate subtitles for player interviews, features, and social media clips
PCR Coordination: Act as a bridge between the editorial team and the Production Control Room (PCR) crew during live match days.
Live Assistance: Support Live Producers in real-time with research, stat-tracking, and immediate content needs.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Language proficiency: Ability to read Kannada is mandatory. Writing proficiency in Kannada will be considered an added advantage.
Openness to working across varied shifts as per broadcast requirements.
Fundamental understanding of sports, especially cricket, in order to follow match narratives and contribute effectively to content creation.
Preferred Education & Experience
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
Students from sports management with a strong interest in sports will be preferred.
