About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Venice, CA

Details:

  • In-Person Tutoring in Venice, CA
  • Schedule: 10 hours, 2 sessions a week for 1hr 15mins
  • Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced SPED tutor comfortable working with two students (siblings) with ADHD and autism.
  • Skilled in foundational literacy, phonics/phonemic awareness, reading fluency, comprehension, foundational math, vocabulary, and writing support.
  • Able to use calm, patient, structured instruction with engaging, interest-based activities (arts & crafts, music, dancing, karate).
  • Knowledgeable in executive functioning, behavior support, and gentle regulation strategies.
  • Must be able to conduct individual assessments for both students to tailor lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction to Sabrina (entering 4th grade) in foundational literacy, reading fluency, vocabulary, phonics, sight words, language/communication, and foundational math skills.
  • Provide targeted support to Gabriella (entering 6th grade) in foundational literacy and math, math concepts, vocabulary, spelling, writing (organization, conventions, traits), and comprehension across subjects.
  • Maintain a calm, supportive learning environment and use self-regulation strategies as needed.
  • Incorporate student interests (arts & crafts, dancing, music, movement, karate) to enhance engagement.
  • Deliver structured, skill-building lessons for each sibling separately.
  • Complete required assessments and provide progress updates.
