Are you an experienced technical sales professional with a background in mechanical products and a passion for winning specifications in construction projects? This is your opportunity to join a market-leading supplier of mechanical valves, pipework, and drainage systems as a Technical Sales Specialist. We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused individual to play a pivotal role in securing product specifications and driving long-term business growth.

What You'll Be Doing

In this high-impact, field-based sales role, you will:

-Secure Specifications: Actively promote our product range to consulting engineers, M&E contractors, and specifiers to secure inclusion in major commercial and infrastructure projects.

-Deliver CPDs: Present engaging, technical CPD seminars that position us as the trusted partner for innovative and reliable mechanical solutions.

-Manage Projects: Track projects from early design through to installation, ensuring our products remain specified throughout the project lifecycle.

-Influence Decisions: Build and maintain strategic relationships to influence decision-makers at all levels.

-Collaborate Internally: Work closely with the wider sales, marketing, and technical teams to deliver a seamless customer experience and ensure project success.

-Report & Analyse: Monitor specification conversions, track performance against KPIs, and provide market feedback to support ongoing growth.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

-Experience in Specification Sales – Proven track record of securing product specifications with consultants, architects, or M&E contractors.

-Technical Product Knowledge – Strong understanding of mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing systems (e.g., valves, pipework, fittings).

-Industry Network – Established relationships within the building services or construction sector is a strong advantage.

-Communication Skills – Confident presenting technical information clearly to both technical and commercial audiences.

-Commercial Acumen – Results-driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, overcome objections, and close specification-based sales.

-Self-Motivation – Proactive, organised, and able to manage a busy project pipeline with minimal supervision.

-Full UK Driving Licence – This is a field-based role with regular travel to clients and sites.
