ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an AI & Automation Specialist for a high-impact, 6-month contract within our Partner Operations Delivery team. Your primary focus will be executing high-impact automation projects designed to reduce time-to-market and increase team capacity without compromising quality.

As a specialized contractor,build and deploy solutions that move our team toward "Agentic Readiness." You will be instrumental in deploying our first generation of "AI Genies" within the Workato Automation Hub. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Reporting to the Manager, Delivery AI & Automation, you will be responsible for:

• Accelerating Automation: Design and build AI-driven solutions to automate critical delivery processes, including JIRA ticket creation, sizing, routing, and support follow-ups.

• Workato Hub Development: Build and maintain automation recipes and workflows within the Workato workspace, utilizing pre-built connectors and custom API endpoints.

• Knowledge Transfer & Mentorship: Pair with internal "AI Champions" to shadow development, produce comprehensive runbooks, and ensure a seamless transition to full internal ownership by month six.

• Quality & Scalability: Maintain a strict "Speed-Quality Balance," ensuring all automated solutions are cost-effective, scalable across functional groups, and meet rigorous QA/verification standards.

YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:

• Automation Expertise: Proven experience building complex, enterprise-level workflows in Workato, including the use of "AI Genies" and Toolshed connectors.

• Generative AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience implementing LLM-based solutions using Claude and Gemini/Google AI Studio.

• Platform Engineering Knowledge: An understanding of agentic structure, security architecture, and the creation of AI design blueprints.

• Domain Translation Skills: The ability to translate manual, high-effort configurations (like Salesforce Commerce Cloud workflows) into automated, technical solutions.

• Operational Mindset: Experience in a "System Builder" role, focusing on centralized root-cause solutions rather than fragmented, team-specific fixes.

• Data skills: Proficiency in SQL to query and join tables to access data needed to build out the agents for the desired task

• Tech knowledge: 

  • Java Ecosystem: Java, Spring Boot, and Groovy—capable of contributing to diverse team repositories.

  • Frontend Tech: JavaScript and React for UI development and partner-specific configurations.

  • CS Foundations: Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and high-level system design.
