So, what’s the role all about?

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Business Analyst with strong expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Actimize solutions. The role involves bridging business requirements and technical implementation by collaborating with compliance, risk, and technology teams. The Specialist Business Analyst will support SAM threshold tuning systems to delivery team and  also provide AML domain support to RnD team for AML analytical development. Strong analytical skills, domain knowledge in AML, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders are essential.

How will you make an impact?

  • Provide SME support to data scientists to build Machine Learning based solution in AML (SAM, WLX, CDD)
  • Support AML alert tuning activities by providing domain expertise and guidance to PS teams.
  • Identify the errors in SAM Issue DB and guide the PS team for missing data components and workarounds during tuning process.
  • Support the delivery team to identify tuning data preparation issues, understanding rules , debug and fix data preparation workflow.
  • Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models for AML transaction monitoring and suspicious activity detection.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Bachelors or Master's  in Computer Science, IT,  Statistics etc.
  • Rich experience in Anti-Money Laundering, Transaction Monitoring, Customer Screening. Strong understanding on Actimize AML solutions (SAM, CDD, WLX etc.)
  • Good knowledge of installation, implementation and customization of SAM, WLF and CDD solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering roles, with at least 5 years in financial services or FinTech.
  • Expertise in programing languages. Python would be preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Basic understanding of AML regulations, typologies, and detection methodologies.
  • Experience with model tuning techniques including hyperparameter optimization, statistical methods, and threshold calibration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to balance model performance and business constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Python would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS) and related services for building and deploying machine learning models.
