Responsibility: Work with customer to ensure proper communication with Special Needs Department to obtain proper student data information Work with School Ops to be local liaison Oversee SPED dispatcher(s) Oversee day-to-day transportation operations, including scheduling, staffing, route assignments, and field trip/charter coordination Monitor and analyze operational KPIs using Zum's IT infrastructure, implementing corrective actions to exceed performance targets Partner with the Operations Manager to maintain operational readiness, respond to real-time challenges, and ensure facilities are organized, safe, and efficiently operated Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure fleet readiness and equipment is installed properly Maintain Special Needs equipment inventory Work with Routers to design school bus routes using Zum’s routing software, understanding fleet capacity and logistics constraints, and maximizing efficiency, accuracy, and on-time performance Critically analyze daily schedules to support on-time performance, efficient routing, and productivity objectives while maintaining positive user experience Continuously improve routes and communicate adjustments to all stakeholders in a timely manner Perform various administrative tasks Other duties as assigned Requirements: High school Diploma or equivalent required; completion of college level courses preferred 3-5 years’ experience in customer service environment required Strong customer service skills required Solid data entry skills required Proficient use of computers required; Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc One or more years of driving experience on field trips preferred Strong verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette skills; ability to respond and present professionally to callers and customers.
