Sourcing Manager

NYC Alliance is looking for a Sourcing Manager that has experience managing production outside of China for Sportswear apparel.  Ideally this person will have experience with the regions of Vietnam, Cambodia, and/or India. Must be willing and able to travel to the factories. We have a hybrid work schedule, four days in the office and one work from home. This person will need to be based in New York, and they will need to have experience working with US retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with manufacturing factories and vendors within the region to ensure that product meets the agreed upon purchase order requirements, communicate daily with overseas offices to monitor pre-production and production delivery issues
• Manage time and action calendar and analyze and resolve issues associated with calendar
• Request weekly WIP reports from all vendors and review to confirm that vendors meet the required ship dates
• Update management daily on all outstanding and new production and logistical issues, review pre-production
• Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sourcing or supply chain role, preferably in the apparel industry.
• Proven track record of working with suppliers in Southeast Asian countries, particularly Vietnam, Cambodia, and India.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with retail partners.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

• Knowledge of quality control processes and standards in the apparel industry.
