The Sourcing Contract Administrator will work closely within cross-functional teams, manage high value/high importance contracts, and act as a lead for the execution of Requests for Proposal (RFP), coordination, negotiation, and contractual agreements as required. In addition, the Project Sourcing Leader will identify and manage risks that may arise through the operation of the contract and implement robust financial and operational controls. This position reports to Global Sourcing Leader and will be based in Plano, TX.
Responsibilities:
Serves as subject matter expert that actively manages the negotiations and completion of vendor contracts.
Establish strategic direction and work plan to execute assigned contracts on time.
Drives the bidding process definition and refinement – including RFI/RFP, bidding management process, bid review and vendor selection.
Identifies and action opportunities for additional cost-savings.
Builds relationships with external business partners and suppliers to improve service delivery, mitigates risks, reduces costs, and drives business performance and supply continuity.
Provides Sourcing and Contract management advice and support to several functional areas.
Ensures pricing and contracts are competitive through periodic and regular reassessment of pricing agreements.
Develops and implements robust and effective policies, processes, procedures, and systems to support the operational effectiveness of OmniOn Power in relation to procurement and contracting.
Works effectively with counterparts around the Corporation.
Actively manages specific corporate contracts.
Takes a proactive approach to risk management, ensures that risks and issues are identified, addressed, escalated, and reported appropriately.
Manages delegated resources (e.g. budgets, equipment and contracts) as appropriate, to ensure value for money
Complies with OmniOn Power policies and procedures relevant to responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures including equality, sustainability and the environment, health and safety and data protection.
Performs any other reasonable duties as directed by line management.
Basic Qualifications:
BS/BA degree: Business/ Finance/ Supply Chain/Sourcing/Contract Negotiations, and related field. MBA Preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree in an area such as contracts/law/supply chain/finance).
Desired Characteristics:
Experience with negotiation and administration of contracts and/or subcontracts
Minimum 3 years prior supplier negotiations experience a plus.
Experience in supplier and contract management including where services have been delivered through a contractual structure of prime and subcontractors.
Experience in working in a project environment where development activities have been outsourced to a supplier.
Ability to manage multiple contract assignments simultaneously.
High energy individual who is goal oriented and results driven.
Excellent oral and written communication and influencing skills.
Some international travel may be required.
