Operations Specialist | Salary range: $1,750 - $2,500 per month
Hi, I’m Drew, one of the founders of Sonar. We started Sonar to make mental health support more preventative and accessible for young people. We work with schools and providers to reach youth early, and our core product, Sonny, offers 24/7 chat-based support that combines AI with trained human coaches. This human-in-the-loop approach lets us scale safely while keeping care thoughtful and responsible.

Since launching in 2023, we’ve supported over 20,000 youth across the U.S. Our work has been recognized by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and CNN, and we’re backed by partners like Stanford University, HopeLab, and Nina Capital.

We’re a fully remote team that cares deeply about impact, clarity, and doing meaningful work that actually helps students, families, and clinicians.

We’re looking for an Operations Specialist who enjoys turning messy, high-impact problems into clear plans and real outcomes. This person will work closely with our founders and leadership team, touching every part of the business and helping Sonar grow in a thoughtful, well-run way.

In this role, you will:

🧠 Work closely with the CEO, Head of Product, AI Lead, and Wellbeing Operations Lead to keep the business running smoothly
📅 Lead company rhythms including All Hands, Weekly Business Reviews, and daily standups, owning agendas and follow-ups
🤝 Manage partnership success by supporting analytics, reporting, presentations, and cross-team collaboration
📈 Help build scalable approaches to activating youth and increasing engagement with Sonar
👥 Lead core HR operations such as onboarding, feedback collection, and offboarding
🔐 Support ongoing SOC2 and HIPAA compliance by managing security tasks and coordinating with engineering

You’re highly organized, curious, and comfortable owning ambiguous problems. You communicate clearly across teams, think before jumping to solutions, and care deeply about doing work that makes a real difference - especially in sensitive areas like youth mental health.

Working Hours : This is a fully remote role with flexible working hours. There would be a 3 -4 hour core overlap required until 11.30am MT.
