Job Description
The primary focus of this role is to act as a Technical Sales Driver, providing pre-sales technical expertise to the Account team and customers for Managed Services and Networking opportunities. You will build opportunities and pipeline through an outcome-based consultative approach and drive deal closure that pulls through other solutions and products.
At the same time, you will educate the target market on transformation journey, value offerings, roadmap, and market differentiation as a leading service provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead opportunity development efforts from lead qualification through deal closure
- Take ownership of the solution design process, ensuring the selection and use of best-fit technologies, delivery, and support processes
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals, demonstrating how client solutions meet customer needs and integrate with existing systems and equipment
- Introduce client portfolio of solutions and services to achieve a high share-of-wallet by positioning client strengths and capabilities
- Understand customer businesses and identify key influencers and decision-makers
- Identify customer business challenges and develop strong value propositions aligned to business objectives
- Engage effectively with all levels of customer organizations, including C-level executives
- Negotiate with customers and effectively close business deals
- Prepare, present, and clearly articulate customer benefits in bid proposals and presentations
- Review, edit, and optimize technical documents; provide recommendations, guidance, coaching, or rewrite major sections when required
- Identify and summarize key contractual obligations and risks
- Support contract development and participate in negotiations to bridge gaps between legal, technical, and commercial requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement strategies, plans, and business models
- Ensure revenue targets are met
- Perform proper planning, monitoring, and accurate billing forecasts
- Ensure excellent Customer Satisfaction across all customer engagements
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5-7 -8 years of proven customer engagement experience (pre-sales, business development, and/or account management) in the Telecommunications or IT industry
- Strong experience in Routing, Switching, and Wireless technologies
- Understanding of NFV, SD-WAN, SDN, and Cloud Computing technologies is advantageous
- Exposure to network equipment such as Cisco Systems, HP Aruba, Juniper Networks, F5, etc.
- High degree of self-motivation, strong commitment, and results-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Independent, resourceful team player with a genuine enthusiasm for providing excellent support to internal and external customers
