Harbor is seeking a Solutions Marketing Specialist to join our growing team.  As a Solutions Marketing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in executing solutions marketing activities and supporting various marketing programs including partner marketing. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, including delivery teams, our client engagement team, and our technology partners to ensure that marketing efforts drive measurable growth. This position requires strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, external partners, and customers.  

This is a full-time position that can be worked from anywhere in the USA or Canada.


Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences; 
  • Develop solutions messaging and collateral; 
  • Promote services and partnerships via webinars, case studies, and sell sheets; 
  • Create services messaging and positioning to differentiate Harbor from competitors; 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment by way of battlecards and other sales support materials; 
  • Act as a Program Coordinator for all webinar and partner marketing programs, managing a schedule of all project activity to identify team dependencies, deadlines, critical dates, and project cross-over.  
  • Market Research & Solution Marketing: Maintain an understanding of the market, clients, and how the company’s services meet client needs. This role involves gathering insights through research, shaping service messaging, and ensuring that internal teams in delivery, client engagement and marketing are aligned with market demands. The associate plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between service development and client expectations including battlecard and collateral creation and maintenance. 
  • Partner Marketing Coordination: Manage a schedule of all partner marketing activities including webinars, live events, joint collateral, case studies and testimonials, identifying team dependencies, deadlines, critical dates, and project cross-over. Maintain the schedule for review in regular team stand-ups to monitor execution and highlight issues, and communicate progress. 
  • ABM Campaign Messaging and Content: Own the messaging and content for your personas that will be used in ABM campaigns. Work with the Insights and Content teams to develop a plan at the start of the year to build both thought leadership and solution-oriented content that can be used in ABM campaigns throughout the year. Update the content throughout the year as new insights emerge. 
  • Key Persona Development and Messaging: Work with the CLD Chief Growth Officer to develop vision statements, maturity frameworks, and value propositions for the GC and Head of Legal Ops personas that guide content development and market messaging. Partner with Content team to build an annual content plan for the persona(s) that ensure Harbor stays top of mind and delivers value throughout the year. 
  • Website Content: Own the Services and Sectors pages on the Harbor website for your assigned Personas and Service lines. Ensure those pages are optimized for SEO/AIO, and that they convey a differentiated value proposition for Harbor. 
  • Sales Enablement: Support collateral creation, monthly enablement session development with Delivery and Insights, RFP support etc. working as the liaison between Practice Groups and CE. 
  • Execute Engagement Marketing (Webinars and Live Events): Organize and host webinars for Harbor. Manage event logistics including email invitation copy, content creation with presenters and post webinar follow-up. Take the lead in content development and messaging for in-person events, working closely with Delivery, CE, and the Insights team. 
  • Support Colleagues: Provide support to colleagues in Marketing, Leadership and CE with ad hoc requests as needed. Look for opportunities to extend your knowledge and gain hands-on experience by pitching in. 

Qualifications: 

  • University degree in communications, marketing, business administration or commerce; MBA an asset but not required; 
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in professional services or legaltech marketing, with a focus on campaign development, content creation, partner and solutions marketing; 
  • Campaign planning and development experience; 
  • Webinar planning and management experience; 
  • Collateral and sales tool development experience; 
  • Messaging and positioning experience; 
  • Marketing analytics and reporting experience; 
  • Strong interpersonal and written/visual/verbal communication skills; 
  • Familiar with CRM (Salesforce.com), Marketing Automation (Pardot or similar), Web CMS, Google Analytics, Reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau), Design (Canva or similar), Copilot/ChatGPT, Webinar platforms (Zoom or similar)
