About the Role

We're looking for a Solutions Engineer (Consultant) to join our Field Services team across APAC. This role partners directly with our Account Executives to support enterprise clients evaluating Deel's platform for field services and onsite workforce management.

Here's what makes this different: we're prioritising deep field services industry experience over traditional SE backgrounds. If you've spent your career in oil & gas, mining, EPC, shipbuilding, construction, offshore, or renewables and you understand how these workforces actually get structured, deployed, and managed across borders - this role was built for you.

You'll be instrumental in translating complex client needs into actionable, scalable, and compliant solutions, supporting every stage of the sales process from discovery through to implementation hand-off.

What You'll Do

  • Lead as the technical authority for Deel's Field Services segment, driving enterprise pre-sales across staffing, RPO, and project-based organisations with credibility and industry expertise

  • Own the end-to-end technical sales cycle: leading discovery, shaping solutions, responding to RFPs, delivering tailored demos, and running architecture workshops

  • Translate complex, multi-jurisdictional requirements into clear, scalable, and compliant solution designs with defined implementation roadmaps and success metrics

  • Advise customers on structuring compliant workforce models, including secondments, shadow payroll, and offshore/rotational employment frameworks

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to resolve technical challenges, advocate for customer needs, and accelerate deal progression

  • Build, refine, and scale a field service-specific pre-sales asset library, including demo narratives, compliance frameworks, workforce models, and objection-handling playbooks

  • Maintain deep expertise in global employment regulations, immigration shifts, and offshore workforce trends to ensure real-world relevance in every customer conversation

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of deep, practical knowledge of the field services industry, gained through direct experience working within or alongside offshore, onshore, or project-based workforce environments (EPC, oil & gas, mining, shipyard, construction, renewables, defence contracting)

  • Firsthand understanding of how these workforces are structured, deployed, and managed across multiple jurisdictions

  • Demonstrated ability to advise on designing compliant, commercially sound workforce arrangements across borders

  • Solid awareness of compliance frameworks, with tax and shadow payroll experience especially valued. Mobility or commercial exposure is a bonus.

  • Outstanding presentation and storytelling skills, always focused on customer value. Multilingual capability is a bonus.

  • Entrepreneurial DNA with a positive, can-do attitude

  • Collaborative team player comfortable working across sales, product, engineering, and operations

  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, startup environment

  • Based anywhere in APAC with willingness to travel (~10%)

Previous Solutions Engineer experience is not required. Industry knowledge is what we value most - we'll teach you the rest.
