Solutions Architect - Contract - Outside IR35

Mindera are currently on the lookout for a Solutions Architect to join us on a contract basis. You will provide technical authority and architectural coherence across a fragmented CCTV estate. The role ensures that security hardening, lifecycle upgrades and future platform designs are secure, compliant, scalable and operationally viable.

You will also own architectural standards and technical decision making for the CCTV domain.

This is a hybrid position and comes with 3 days per week on client site in either Paddington or Heathrow area.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery of CCTV platforms including servers, operating systems, firmware, storage and network connectivity
• Define target architecture principles for secure, compliant and supportable CCTV platforms
• Design interim architectures to enable safe hardening and upgrades without service disruption
• Own security architecture covering identity, access management, credential rotation and patching strategy
• Define standards for platform hosting, networking, monitoring, logging and resilience
• Assess vendor platforms and technologies for future CCTV modernisation and AI enablement
• Ensure alignment with enterprise cloud, infrastructure and security standards
• Provide architectural governance, decision support and technical risk assessment
• Document architectural decisions, constraints and trade offs clearly for assurance and audit
  

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong background in infrastructure and platform architecture
• Deep understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong experience with identity and access management, patching and vulnerability management
• Experience with cloud hosted and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and alerting platforms used in enterprise estates
• CCTV or physical security platform experience desirable but not essential
