The Solution Designer is responsible for defining, validating, and governing end-to-end solution designs, ensuring that technical, operational, security, and service management requirements are fully integrated prior to implementation and transition to production. The role aligns architecture, processes, and readiness criteria across projects, operations, and service management to enable stable, compliant, and scalable services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end technical and service solutions, covering architecture, integrations, configuration structures, and operational workflows.
- Define and validate operational requirements including monitoring, availability, continuity, capacity, and service levels.
- Assess changes and releases for impact, risk, and operational readiness prior to go-live.
- Ensure solution designs align with incident, change, request, service catalog, and configuration management processes.
- Create and maintain solution documentation, service definitions, and operational standards.
- Support transition-to-production activities and ensure readiness criteria and quality gates are met.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, operations, service management, configuration management, and external suppliers.
- Identify and evaluate technical, operational, and compliance risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Provide input to service catalog entries, SLAs/OLAs, monitoring concepts, and operational procedures.
