In this role, you will

  • Lead and oversee the architectural design of Java and PL/SQL based modernization projects, including cloud migration, microservices adoption, and legacy system transformation.
  • Work closely with clients to assess their current infrastructure, application portfolios, and pain points to define strategic modernization plans.
  • Develop and document solution architectures, providing clear roadmaps for the migration of legacy systems to new, scalable platforms.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure designs are implemented with best practices in coding, security, and performance.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to both internal and client teams on best practices in modern application architecture, Java technologies, and system integration.
  • Guide and participate in proof-of-concept (PoC) development, helping clients visualize the future state of their applications.
  • Facilitate workshops, technical sessions, and presentations for clients to build consensus and ensure alignment on architectural decisions.
  • 5+ years prior experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect
  • Prior experience as a hands on Java developer
  • Intimate knowledge of architectural patterns and best practice
  • Application Modernisation experience
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
