Solution Architect

Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to support the design, documentation, and evolution of application architecture solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, governance rules, and enterprise architectural standards. This role requires a strong ability to translate business needs into architectural solutions, define APIs and integration approaches, and communicate architectural and security principles clearly across teams. The ideal candidate will combine technical depth, critical thinking, and strong collaboration skills in an international and fast-paced environment.

What will you do?

• Analyze business requirements and frame them within the organization’s reference application architecture
• Design logical architecture solutions with limited or simple impacts on the overall architecture supporting the business units
• Define and specify APIs and related integration approaches
• Produce clear and structured architecture documentation in compliance with governance standards
• Communicate application, security, and technology architecture principles across teams
• Support the adoption of defined architectural and security rules through clear guidance and stakeholder engagement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and global teams in the delivery of architecture initiatives
• Contribute to solution quality, consistency, and alignment with enterprise best practices

What are we looking for?

• Up to 10 years of experience in a similar role
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and with global teams
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to quality and delivery excellence
• Solid knowledge of different types of architectural components and solution building blocks
• Strong focus on architecture documentation and compliance with governance rules
• Ability to clearly communicate architectural and security guidelines and influence their adoption

• Availability to work in a hybrid model: 3 days per week in the office (Lisbon) and 2 days remote

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector and GDPR
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Previous project experience in similar environments
• Architecture certifications, such as Microsoft, Cloud, or related certifications
• Experience with SAP systems, including SAP ERP, SAP HANA, among others
• Documentation of logical architecture solutions designs with simple impacts on the architecture supporting the business units
• Design and specification of APIs
