We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of customer-facing production systems through comprehensive manual and automated testing. This role collaborates closely with engineering and product teams to validate features, identify defects, analyze logs, and drive continuous improvement across the development lifecycle. The engineer contributes to test planning, execution, and automation, helping maintain high standards of performance and user experience in every release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test suites under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to understand system architecture, requirements, and user flows.
  • Test applications and services across multiple environments, including Windows, Linux/macOS, and mobile platforms.
  • Execute, analyze, and report results of automated test suites (smoke, regression, performance).
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing as needed, following established test plans and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct regression testing before and after deployments to ensure system stability.
  • Oversee testing activities for product releases, maintenance updates, and new development initiatives.
  • Review and evaluate responses from engineering teams regarding reported defects and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Perform proactive log analysis using tools such as Kibana and escalate findings to engineering teams.
  •  Work effectively within a SCRUM environment using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines when required.
  • Provide quality recommendations based on test results, trends, and failure patterns.

Essenial Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience testing customer-facing production systems, APIs, and backend services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven practical experience designing, implementing, and executing manual and automated tests.
  • Experience performing load/stress tests.
  • Hands-on experience with Postman, curl, scripting, and API validation.
  • Demonstrated ability writing clear and maintainable BDD-style scenarios (e.g., Gherkin) and full test suites.
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries (any SQL dialect).
  • Experience contributing to automated test frameworks or performance testing pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of QA concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of TDD and BDD principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and log investigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • ISTQB Certification (Foundation Level or above).
  • Experience testing APIs with REST, gRPC, Postman, cURL.
  • Experience using Cucumber or similar BDD frameworks.
  • Experience with top industry-standard test automation tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright).
