Software Engineering Manager (India)

Accountabilities

·         Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team based in India.

·         Oversee the delivery of scalable backend, data, and integration systems that support global growth.

·         Lead modernization, observability, and performance optimization initiatives to improve system reliability.

·         Partner with global engineering and product peers to align on roadmaps, strategy, and execution.

·         Champion AI-assisted development practices to accelerate innovation and improve engineering efficiency.

·         Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and strong engineering craftsmanship.

Requirements

·         7–10 years of total experience, including 2+ years managing engineering teams.

·         Strong expertise in backend or data engineering, ideally with Python, AWS, and SQL.

·         Proven ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams.

·         Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster team growth and mentorship.

·         Demonstrated experience in building scalable systems and modernizing technical environments.

·         A growth mindset, proactive approach, and strong leadership presence.

·         Fully remote work setup meeting the following minimum requirements:

o    Intel i3 (4th gen or higher) or equivalent processor

o    At least 4 GB RAM

o    Windows 10+ or macOS

o    Dual monitors (provided by candidate)

o    Stable wired internet connection (DSL, cable, or fiber with 10 Mbps+ plan)

o    PC headset and HD webcam (720p minimum)
