We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to join our organization in the Engineering team, based in Barcelona, Spain. 

The Mission:

The Software Engineer is a critical role in Worldsensing. This role’s primary focus is the development, definition, and deployment of software solutions for our products, whilst ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from and to these products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, development, and delivery of the company’s core platform and cloud applications, making sure our applications function properly (including scalability, efficiency, resilience, fault tolerance, and data security techniques).
• Work closely with other engineers & designers, product owners, and other team members to implement complex end-to-end systems.
• Use technical skills to close the gaps between new requirements and the Worldsensing products.
• Support in the deployment of the software solutions in cloud servers.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Rigorous commitment to documentation, quality engineering, testing, and support.
• Mentor and guide junior developers both in technical and soft-skill matters.
• Perform code reviews for other software engineers and provide feedback.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of software development experience, both in back-end and front-end applications.
• 3+ years with Python. (FastAPI framework)
• 2+ years with React is desired.
• Experience with C/C++, Java, and TypeScript is a plus.
• Experience with advanced programming frameworks and paradigms.
• Good experience with Linux environments.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, preferably Git.
• You're passionate about IoT & technical challenges. There should be something you know more about than anyone on our team.
• Strong analysis and practical problem-solving abilities to resolve challenging situations.
• You communicate with clarity and precision. We care about this almost as much as your technical ability.
• You’re an empathetic person who is comfortable with changes and is an incredibly fast learner and has a can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
• BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• A good level of spoken and written English is required.
