Our team is responsible for the framework and API’s on which widgets for Mendix platform are built. This includes the JavaScript API provided in the client for web (ReactJS) and native mobile (ReactNative) widgets as well as the components that allow users to easily configure widgets in Studio Pro. The framework is an important part of Mendix platform as it used to build our own widgets, and at least important, it allows customers, partners and the community to build any component they want. Developers can just use standard tooling, like JS/TS/ReactJS/ReactNative to build cool components. We make the API’s and tooling that makes it simple! Additionally the team is responsible for the visual language which allow users to create pages and their logic. The team maintains and extend this language which allow users to create pages faster and easier. The team is part of the Frontend group. This group is responsible for building great end-user experiences from design time to runtime for web, mobile and augmented reality.
