Software Engineer

Working in the Data Products domain, you will work with modern Java (17+), Spring Boot, and microservices, contributing to reliable, secure, and high-performing systems. If you also know Python, that’s a great plus — we value engineers who bring versatility and curiosity to the team. 

You will play a vital role as we reimagine the labour market to make it work for everybody. 

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java (Spring Boot) and build and optimize microservices and RESTful APIs 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, efficient code 
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud (AWS), and write unit and integration tests and ensure code quality through reviews 
• Participate in system design discussions and propose improvements
• Work with Python for automation, data integration, or serverless (AWS Lambda) projects

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java (Spring, Spring Boot) 
• Strong grasp of OOP, SOLID, DRY, and design principles 
• Experience with databases, REST APIs, and testing tools (JUnit, Mockito) and familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and monitoring practices 
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud environments (AWS) 
• Nice to have: Experience with Python, Terraform, or serverless applications
