Role Overview:
We're looking for Software Engineers who want to work on hard problems in aerospace. You'll build software that solves genuinely tough operational challenges for engineering teams. This role offers real ownership and impact at a funded, growing startup where what you build directly supports actual space missions and advanced hardware programs.
What You'll Do:
Build and ship web applications and backend services that power day-to-day operations for aerospace customers
Create systems that process and compute operational data to help teams make better decisions
Develop APIs and services that connect different systems handling spacecraft telemetry and control
Deploy code frequently based on what you're learning from users
Put together quick demos and prototypes for customer meetings
Join customer calls to understand their problems and show them what we're building
Make systems faster, more reliable, and ready to handle growth
Work on testing and getting feedback from actual users
Evaluate outside tools and libraries and integrate them when it makes sense
Help shape how the engineering team works as we grow
Technical Problems You'll Solve:
Keeping data and interfaces in sync across distributed systems in different locations
Making sense of huge amounts of complex data through good visualization
Handling multiple data streams coming in at the same time for live monitoring
Building robust backend services and data processing pipelines
Deploying software both in the cloud and at customer facilities
Meeting tough security and uptime requirements for critical operations
Building powerful features that are still easy to use
Using ML to help teams work faster and make smarter decisions
Requirements:
3+ years building software professionally
Really strong with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte)
Solid experience building backend services, REST APIs, and working with databases
Comfortable with server-side technologies and cloud infrastructure
Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, OOP, design patterns, testing
Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
Good at working with others and communicating clearly
Always learning and curious about new things
Startup experience is a plus
Familiarity with agile/iterative development is helpful
CS degree or related technical field
U.S. Citizenship required (may need security clearance down the road)
Must be based in the U.S.
Compensation Package:
Base Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
